A self-directed alternative to a traditional CDL school

Get Your CDL Quick offers vehicle rental and limited vehicle familiarization for customers who arrive with previously acquired knowledge and skills from experience or independent self-study. This service model is intended as an alternative to a traditional CDL school program. The paid rental and familiarization services do not provide a comprehensive beginner curriculum or classroom instruction. Customers prepare and progress according to their existing ability.

Required FMCSA ELDT behind-the-wheel training is a separate, proficiency-based activity. Our Texas Workforce Commission exemption request is pending; TWC has not granted an exemption. Describing the business as an alternative to a school does not establish its regulatory status.

Get familiar with a Class B straight truck

A Class B vehicle path uses a single commercial vehicle rather than the tractor and semitrailer combination shown on our Class A page. Our Class B imagery features a Freightliner M2 106 straight truck. Call to confirm the actual vehicle, brake system and transmission for your intended Texas DPS skills test.

Vehicle-specific assistance for experienced applicants

Customers bring their existing inspection, backing and road skills to the rented vehicle. Limited familiarization can address component location, controls, steering response and dimensions. These paid services are individually available and do not replace a beginner driver program or any required ELDT.

Questions before you arrange service

Can I use a Class B truck for a passenger or school bus endorsement?

A straight truck is different from a passenger bus or school bus. Tell us your intended license class and endorsement so the appropriate vehicle and service requirements can be discussed.
