A self-directed alternative to a traditional CDL school

Get Your CDL Quick offers vehicle rental and limited vehicle familiarization for customers who arrive with previously acquired knowledge and skills from experience or independent self-study. This service model is intended as an alternative to a traditional CDL school program. The paid rental and familiarization services do not provide a comprehensive beginner curriculum or classroom instruction. Customers prepare and progress according to their existing ability.

Required FMCSA ELDT behind-the-wheel training is a separate, proficiency-based activity. Our Texas Workforce Commission exemption request is pending; TWC has not granted an exemption. Describing the business as an alternative to a school does not establish its regulatory status.

A passenger bus for your intended driving path

Our white Freightliner passenger bus imagery helps you distinguish this path from a straight truck or a yellow school bus. Tell us the passenger vehicle you intend to drive, your current license and your P endorsement status. Confirm the actual vehicle available, its configuration and its suitability for your testing plans.

Passenger vehicle familiarization and ELDT

Existing commercial driving skills must be applied to a bus’s dimensions, entry points, controls and visibility. Limited familiarization is distinct from applicable passenger endorsement ELDT. Discuss both needs before arranging vehicle time. Review current Texas DPS ELDT information for your situation.

Is passenger bus preparation the same as school bus preparation?

They are separate vehicle and endorsement paths. Tell us whether your goal includes school bus operation so the appropriate vehicle and requirements can be discussed.
