A self-directed alternative to a traditional CDL school
Get Your CDL Quick offers vehicle rental and limited vehicle familiarization for customers who arrive with previously acquired knowledge and skills from experience or independent self-study. This service model is intended as an alternative to a traditional CDL school program. The paid rental and familiarization services do not provide a comprehensive beginner curriculum or classroom instruction. Customers prepare and progress according to their existing ability.
Required FMCSA ELDT behind-the-wheel training is a separate, proficiency-based activity. Our Texas Workforce Commission exemption request is pending; TWC has not granted an exemption. Describing the business as an alternative to a school does not establish its regulatory status.
Range and public road are separate ELDT components
Entry-Level Driver Training behind-the-wheel activity addresses the applicable range and public-road curriculum. Get Your CDL Quick offers these separately from paid vehicle rental and limited familiarization. A qualified instructor observes, assesses and documents the applicant’s performance; scheduled attendance alone does not establish completion.
Discuss your class, endorsement and existing skills
Tell us whether your goal is Class A, Class B, a B-to-A upgrade, passenger or school bus. Bring information about your current license or permit and theory completion. We can discuss the applicable activity, vehicle and documentation for your situation. The filed service descriptions list complimentary ELDT activities with no separate fee; actual completion remains dependent on proficiency.
Theory information and current availability
Online theory under the service model described on this website remains in development. Do not assume a theory course is available or included. Consult the FMCSA Training Provider Registry for provider scope and discuss your existing theory arrangements before scheduling behind-the-wheel activity.
Questions before you arrange service
Does truck rental count as ELDT behind-the-wheel completion?
No. Rental and limited familiarization are distinct services. Required ELDT involves the applicable curriculum, proficiency assessment, documentation and completion reporting.
Is completion guaranteed within a scheduled session?
No. Completion depends on meeting the applicable proficiency and documentation requirements, not simply attending or paying for a service.
