Customers arrive with previously acquired commercial vehicle knowledge and skills. Independent study can include publicly available Texas DPS CDL materials. These limited sessions help customers become familiar with the specific rented vehicle; they are not a comprehensive beginner CDL school program.
Customers independently apply their existing pre-trip knowledge to locate and identify the rented vehicle's components. We may answer vehicle-specific questions about component location, controls, configuration and equipment. Customers remain responsible for independently studying, memorizing and demonstrating the required knowledge.
Customers independently operate the truck and trailer in a marked backing environment using previously acquired skills. The paid rental and familiarization service does not teach, coach or demonstrate beginner backing maneuvers. The limited period helps customers become accustomed to the vehicle's dimensions, handling, steering response and operating characteristics.
Customers apply previously acquired commercial driving skills during one approximately 30-minute session. A properly licensed CDL operator accompanies a CLP holder in the front seat as required for lawful public-road operation and safety. This paid service does not provide comprehensive beginner driving instruction.
Applicable Class A, Class B, Passenger and School Bus range and road activities are separate federal training components. A qualified instructor observes, assesses and documents proficiency in the applicable curriculum. The filing lists these activities as complimentary, with no separate fee, and up to 2 hours for each activity. Actual completion depends on demonstrated proficiency; attendance or payment does not guarantee completion, certification or a CDL.
The online ELDT theory service described in this filing remains in development. It will not be offered, certified or reported to the registry until applicable federal and Texas requirements are satisfied. An online registry listing alone does not mean that a theory course is available.
The complete course description and refund policy must be provided at least 14 days before the service begins. Contact us to request these documents and arrange an appropriate date. No academic credit or units are awarded, and these services do not count toward a larger course exceeding 24 hours.
A customer who cancels before the course begins receives a full refund. If the business cancels, customers may receive a refund or agree to reschedule. An instructor change from the advertised instructor allows a full refund before the course begins.
A registrant dissatisfied after completing 8 hours or one-half of the course, whichever is less, may request a full refund in writing, stating a reasonable basis, within 14 days after the course concludes. These conditions follow the submitted refund policy and Texas Education Code Section 132.003. No separate refund applies to complimentary ELDT activities because no separate fee is charged.
The filed policy requires records to be maintained for at least 3 years, including attendance, fees, refunds, required disclosures, instructor changes and course conclusion documentation. Any applicable FMCSA reporting follows the separate federal proficiency and documentation requirements.

Get Your CDL Quick offers vehicle rental and limited vehicle familiarization for customers who arrive with previously acquired knowledge and skills from experience or independent self-study. This service model is intended as an alternative to a traditional CDL school program. The paid rental and familiarization services do not provide a comprehensive beginner curriculum or classroom instruction. Customers prepare and progress according to their existing ability.
Required FMCSA ELDT behind-the-wheel training is a separate, proficiency-based activity. Our Texas Workforce Commission exemption request is pending; TWC has not granted an exemption. Describing the business as an alternative to a school does not establish its regulatory status.
Use these descriptions to distinguish paid pre-trip, backing and road rental and familiarization from separate complimentary ELDT activity. Request the required advance documents and a clear description of your selected services. The filed TWC exemption request remains pending; this page does not represent a granted exemption or approval.
