Texas CDL pre-trip rental and vehicle familiarization
Pre-trip vehicle rental and familiarization in Royse City, Texas: up to 3 hours per day Monday–Wednesday, 9 hours total, $125 per day. Read service terms.
Locate the components on your rented vehicle
The pre-trip service is for customers who have already acquired the inspection knowledge they need. A different commercial vehicle may place controls, inspection points and equipment in unfamiliar locations. Limited familiarization lets you apply your existing knowledge to that specific vehicle and ask vehicle-specific questions about component locations or configuration. Customers independently study, memorize and demonstrate the inspection material.
Published pre-trip schedule and fee
Up to 3 hours per day on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with a maximum of 9 hours total. The fee is $125 per 3-hour day, up to $375 total. Required advance disclosures, scheduling and refund terms apply. This is individually selected rental and familiarization, not a comprehensive beginner inspection course.
Prepare before your visit
Review your intended Class A, Class B or bus vehicle path and the Texas Commercial Motor Vehicle Drivers Handbook. Bring questions about the rented vehicle, your current permit or license and any configuration requirements. Confirm the selected services before traveling to our Royse City location.

A self-directed alternative to a traditional CDL school
Get Your CDL Quick offers vehicle rental and limited vehicle familiarization for customers who arrive with previously acquired knowledge and skills from experience or independent self-study. This service model is intended as an alternative to a traditional CDL school program. The paid rental and familiarization services do not provide a comprehensive beginner curriculum or classroom instruction. Customers prepare and progress according to their existing ability.
Required FMCSA ELDT behind-the-wheel training is a separate, proficiency-based activity. Our Texas Workforce Commission exemption request is pending; TWC has not granted an exemption. Describing the business as an alternative to a school does not establish its regulatory status.
